What Is Windows Command or Command Prompt?

In Windows operating systems, the Command Prompt is a program that emulates the input field in a text-based user interface screen with the Windows Graphical User Interface (GUI). It can be used to execute entered commands and perform advanced administrative functions. It can also be used to troubleshoot and solve certain kinds of Windows issues.

How to Run Command Prompt

Dependent on which operating system you have installed, please select the Tab that corresponds to your version of Windows. Move the mouse pointer to the bottom-left corner of the screen and Right-click, or press Windows key + X. In the power user task menu, select Command Prompt

Let's Start Command Prompt

Control or Control.exe: Press Win+R button simultaneously, run window will pop up, type CMD and hit enter button Command Prompt will open. or we can dirctly type in run window.

Cleanmgr: This CMD used for Cleaning Drives. Exe:we can use this command for cleaning C: or D: drive.

osk: A virtual keyboard will be open.

call: Type "call" in search bar for calculator.

Chrome or chrome.exe: We can use run window or command prompt, to open chrome browser.

Diskpart: In search bar type CMD, open CMD as a administrator then type in cmd "diskpart". then after "list disk" the volume will be shows in CMD.

list disk: "list disk" this command used for drive partition, for exit in type in CMD exit, we will exit from disk partition CMD windows.

Disk part: This is run in both run command and cmd windows then after we can use the "list disk" for checking the paartiton of HDD drive.

diskmgmt.msc: This Command used for checking hard Drive partition or used for hard drive partition.

shutdown -s -t 00: This command used for shutdown instant pc but keeps mind for using this command windows will be crash.

shutdown -r -t 00 : This command used for restart instant pc.

shutdown -i -t 00 : Remote Shutdown dialog will be open.

Compmgmt.msc : Computer Management windows will be open.

shell:common startup: startup windows will open.

tpm.msc: Trusted Platform Module windows will we open.

netplwiz: Here we can change the system password of users.

lusrmgr.msc: Local User and Groups[Local].

Sdclt: Backup and restore.

Resmon: Resource Monitor.

Powershell: A type of Cmd windows.

slmgr /upk: wait for this to complete. This will uninstall the current product key from Windows and put it into an unlicensed state.
